Lashing tensioning tools

Lashing tensioning devices vary in three directions:  tensioning devices with or without cutter, heavy duty or low-price imported tensioning devices and devices for different widths.

Generally, lashing tensioning devices for wide bands may also be used for narrower bands,- however, in that case one must work very precisely so that the tensioning device does not damage the lashing. Therefore, we recommend using a tensioning device which fits as exactly as possible for the lashing width applied. The most common lashing widths are 10-19mm / 19-25mm / 25-40mm / up to 50mm.

Since disposable lashing is usually cut prior to tensioning, an integrated cutter on the tensioning device is not needed. Some users do not want a precut and therefor prefer a cutter on the device. Cutting the lashing works by moving forward the tensioning lever which has a knife in the front lashing track.

Strapping devices for lashing require to be of particularly good quality since especially the 40mm lashing having a 5t tensile force need a high pretension. This does not only require a large lever, but mostly an extremely sturdy version of the tensioning device. Therefore, we urgently recommend the MUL-375 for up to 40mm lashing width and MUL-395 for 50mm lashing.
