Load buckles

The so-called double load buckles are a must when using lashing, because only this type guarantees an optimum of stability. Some users apply simple metal clamps or tightening clasps. However, in any case one should use phosphated and not galvanized clamps, because the rougher surface of the phosphated clamps makes sure that the lashing does not as easily slip as this would be the case with galvanized clasps or clamps. In addition, one should use metal clamps with a higher wire thickness than required when using normal polyester woven strapping.

The load buckles come in two versions: drop-forged and wired. The wired version is less costly since it requires less work during manufacture. A while ago the stability when using drop-forged load buckles was higher since the lashing was always in danger of getting damaged at the welding points with wired buckles. However, in the meantime the quality of the welded wire buckles is so high that a negative effect on the overall stability cannot be detected. Therefore, we recommend the wired double load buckles due to the better cost-performance ratio.
