PET-Strap on 200 mm Core

PET strapping on a 200mm core was developed for fully-automated strapping machines which is also known as "Tycoon  Speed". Typical sizes are 11x0,4mm and 9x0,4mm.

The advantages of using a fully-automated strapping machine with PET strapping instead of PP are manifold:

• 9mm PET strapping with the same tensile force is cheaper than a 12mm PP strap
• PET strapping is stiffer and, therefore, runs clearly with less failures than PP strap
• PET strapping has a lesser shrinkage, i.e. the applied tension remains
• PET strapping is more resistant to splitting than PP
• PET strapping is extremely resistant to impacts and therefore to abrasion so that the maintenance cost is lower than with PP strap
