Strapping Dispenser Carts

There are strapping dispenser carts for strapping in numerous variations. They can be differentiated by the following criteria: PP strapping or PET strapping versus steel strapping versus polyester-textile strapping as well as by core dimensions of the strapping.

Regarding PP-Strapping there are, for example, the core dimensions 200, 280 and 406 mm. The former two dimensions are intended for use with strapping machines, however, they can, of course, also be pulled onto strapping dispenser carts, to work with manual or battery-powered strapping devices. In this case there are portable as well as mobile dispenser carts - the AWWGC as portable, the AWWGCF as a mobile variation. These dispensers which were conceived for 200 mm of inside core can also be used for PP tape on 280 mm inside core dimension by adding an adapter. For a core dimension like 406 mm there are only mobile dispensers, because the strapping band rolls are heavier and a portable variation would not make sense. Provided that strapping band on different core dimensions is in use or that one would like to keep the necessary flexibility, the AWPPFLEX offers a good alternative: this dispenser can be adapted easily to one of the other core dimensions.

PET strapping is only available on a core dimension of 406 mm; hence the same dispenser could be used here. However, as a roll of PET-strapping with approx. 25 kg is nearly 10 kg heavier than a roll of PP-strapping, a PET-Band-Dispenser must be built definitely sturdier. Here the AWPET406 makes most sense. This model is built sturdy enough that it can also be used for packaging steel strapping in stack winding (which also has an 406 mm inside core).

Dispenser carts for steel strapping in disc or ribbon wrapping look clearly different by comparison: Here the steel strapping is not put on an axis, but the disc is set into a slit in the dispenser and is then unrolled with the help of a ball bearing. Of course, the dispensers have a handbrake, which prevents uncontrolled unwinding of the strapping band, solid rubber rolls as well as a depositing-tray with storage opportunity where strapping devices and metal seals can be deposited comfortably.

For polyester strapping there are portable as well as mobile dispensers and the portable version is more popular, because the polyester strapping rolls are very light. One can distinguish between dispensers for strapping on a 200-mm-core dimension, and those for the glued and woven strapping which requires a 76-mm-core receiver.
