With semi-automatic machines the strapping is put around the packed piece by hand instead of shot through a frame as with fully automatic strapping machines. Therefore, semi-automatic strapping machines are suitable when only few packed pieces need to be strapped per day. As a rule of thumb, you can take 40 cycles per day. For more it pays off to invest in a fully automatic strapping machine.

The standard version of a semi-automatic strapping machine is the "BASIC".  The model "COMFORT" by comparison has the advantage that strapping tensioning may be done electronically instead of mechanically, offers height adjustability, extremely low-noise levels of the DC-motors, and the suitability for very narrow and thin strapping.
